Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club Grant Program

2024-2025 Request for Proposals

Summary

The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club’s (RSFGC) mission is to further the development of charitable horticulture and conservation activities. The RSFGC Grant Program is designed to support the efforts of community-based organizations to implement these initiatives.

Under this Request for Proposals (RFP), the RSFGC is inviting non-profit 501(c)3 organizations located in San Diego County to apply for funding for initiatives that further the mission of the organization. Projects requesting funding need to address a community need, be technically and economically feasible, ensure that all those actively involved in the project will benefit from the results, facilitate the transfer of technology, skills and knowledge to others, and foster self-sufficiency. Organizations requesting funds must demonstrate commitment to the project by providing community labor, monetary contributions, local resources, on-the-job training, or educational opportunities. Upon completion of the project, a report must be submitted to the RSFGC. A key element of the report would be a description of how the issuance of the grant resulted in a measurable improvement to the site. This report must be submitted to the Executive Administrator by May 31, 2026.

Applicants may request up to $10,000 for the proposed use. Available funding is contingent upon the amount of funding in the RSFGC’s annual budget. Recommendations for funding are made by the Grant Committee of the Garden Club, with the Board of Directors determining final approval for funding.
