About the event

Join us on Tuesday, February 3rd for a special installment of our Speaker Series featuring Dr. Wesley Knapp, CEO of the Center for Plant Conservation (CPC) and one of the nation’s leading voices in rare plant conservation. Dr. Knapp will share an inside look at CPC’s collaborative network of botanical gardens and conservation partners working across the U.S. and beyond to safeguard the continent’s most imperiled plant species. The Center for Plant Conservation (CPC) is a non-profit network of over 70 botanical institutions, zoos, and organizations dedicated to preventing the extinction of rare native plants in the U.S. by advancing science, maintaining a "National Collection" of endangered plants, and fostering collaboration among experts through resources, training, and guidelines for seed banking, propagation, and reintroduction efforts. This presentation offers an inspiring perspective on the power of science, partnership, and stewardship to protect the plants that shape our ecosystems.

Morning beverages/snacks will be provided.
