About the event
Juliana Raposo is a visual artist who found a new medium in garden design, and bromeliads are her favorite subject. For about a decade, her small suburban garden in Carlsbad has been an ongoing experiment in landscaping with bromeliad plants. Her curiosity and interest in bromeliad cultivation also led Juliana to serve as the newsletter editor for the San Diego Bromeliad Society, as well as leader of the Speakers Committee and Conservation Grant Chair.
The Bromeliacea family holds more than 3700 species and countless hybrids. These plants come in sculptural shapes and bold colors patterns - they are sure to make your garden pop! In this presentation you will learn the basics of bromeliad culture and how to use them to add drama to your landscape.
