About the event
Roses are beautiful, fragrant, and often the centerpiece of any garden…until they struggle with disease, pests, or poor growth.
Join our very own RSFGC member Beth Van Boxtel, an Encinitas native and certified Consulting Rosarian and Master Gardener, for an inspiring talk on growing gorgeous roses at home. Beth volunteers with the San Diego Rose Society, has won the Rising Star Award from the American Rose Society, and as a rose exhibitor at the San Diego County Fair, earned over 140 ribbons in 2025 alone!
She currently maintains a large rose garden of 200 roses and shares her expertise with home gardeners to help them grow their best blooms. January is the perfect time to learn practical tips on planting, pruning, fertilizing, and caring for roses.
Morning beverages/snacks will be provided. Bring a guest to this event and you’ll be eligible for a door prize!
